Job Tittle:
  Summer Camp Director
 
The Youth Power Summer Camp is seeking a Camp Director who has excellent work ethic and who is passionate about working with youth.  
 
Salary: $10-$13 hourly

Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Assist with planning activities
  • Work closely with Camp Executive
  • Provide supervision and feedback for Camp Counselors
  • Develop appropriate relationships with campers and their parents
  • Assist with set-up and clean-up of camp activities
  • Maintain clean camp facility, camp equipment and supplies
  • Substitutes for camp counselors as needed
  • Assures campers are properly supervised at all times
  • Maintain high standards of health and safety in all activities for campers and staff
  • Attend staff meetings and trainings as necessary
 
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor’s degree in education (preferred)
  • 3 years prior experience working with youth
  • Must be passionate about working with children
  • Highly motivated and enthusiastic with communication and interpersonal skills
  • Good communication leadership and management skills
  • Ability to work with diverse groups, including multicultural and ethnic organization
  • Available to work days full-time Monday-Friday
  • Responsible for securing reliable transportation to and from work
  • Must be able to commit to the entire summer season- June 4th-August 10th, 2018

Youth Power Summer Camp is seeking Summer Camp Counselors who are passionate about working with youth.
 
Salary: $8-$10 hourly

Duties and Responsibilities:
 
  • Engages and interacts with youth daily
  • Develops positive relationships with children and parents
  • Assists site director in maintaining all pertinent site records, files, and other required administrative procedures
  • Lead and participate in small and large group activities
  • Attend staff meetings and trainings as necessary
  • Ensure safety of children at all times
  • Work together as a team with Camp Executive, Camp Director, and co-workers to ensure consistent and quality programming
  • Set-up and clean-up of camp activities
  • Be willing to work outdoors
  • Maintain clean camp facility, camp equipment and supplies
 
Qualifications:
  • 1 years prior experience working with youth
  • Must be passionate about working with children
  • Must be observant and safety conscious
  • Ability to work with diverse groups, including multicultural and ethnic organization
  • Available to work days full-time Monday-Friday
  • Responsible for securing reliable transportation to and from work
