Recovery support services at Powerhouse Community Development can help with the management of mental and substance use disorders by addressing a holistic approach to recovery that involves:

• Health— Overcoming or managing one’s disease(s) or symptoms and making informed, healthy choices that support physical and emotional well-being.
• Home— Having a stable and safe place to live.
• Purpose— Conducting meaningful daily activities and having the independence, income, and resources to participate in society.
• Community— Having relationships and social networks that provide support, friendship, love, and hope.

Through their partnership with the Missouri Department of Mental Health, Powerhouse Community Development offers the Power of Hope through personalized and proven programs.

​The Power of Hope programs at Powerhouse Community Development are highly personal and customized to for individuals in need of recovery and support.  The programs are evidence-based, showing higher rates of recovery.

There are also resources available for safer drug use for Missourians. As fentanyl continues to be an issue across the state, Powerhouse Community Development and other organizations strive to provide education and tools to equip individuals in order to reduce harm to themselves and others.

Powerhouse Community Development is a partner in the Rural Communities Opioid Response Program (RCORP), which seeks to strengthen and expand substance abuse disorder (SUD) prevention, treatment, and recovery services in rural areas.
