Research & Evidence
Why Fatherhood Matters
Fathers play a critical role in the mental, emotional, educational, and social development of their children — from infancy through adulthood.
Healthy and positive father involvement in a child's formative years promotes lasting positive outcomes. Key insights from the Child & Family Research Partnership's Fatherhood Resource Hub confirm that children who grow up with an involved father are more likely to receive better grades, attend college, and find stable employment.
Children with an active father figure are also significantly less likely to experience teen birth, school suspension or expulsion, or involvement in the justice system.
There is no question: when fathers are involved, children thrive. Watch the Fatherhood Resource Hub's Dads Matter webinar →
